Crumlin Road Masonic Hall

For some years accommodation for Masonic Brethren in the Crumlin Road district of Belfast was in the Beech Park Schoolroom, Oldpark Road. (Demolished)

The Brethren of Thomas Valentine Lodge No. 21 (formed in the year 1890) along with the Brethren of Golden Pillar Lodge No. 156 (formed in the year 1894) and Ark of Freedom Lodge No. 664 (formed in the year 1884, now removed to Arthur Square) decided it was time they had a hall of their own. The first Masonic Hall was erected and opened on 18th February 1898.

The site for the hall was on the corner of Crumlin Road and Queensland Street; and is now Ewart's House No 178 Crumlin Road and houses Cairn Lodge Boys Club.

The hall we are now in was built in 1939 and dedicated on Tuesday 6th February, 1940 at 3.00pm.
